Kerrey (D-NE) 'offended' by sec. of state's tone

Source: Omaha World Herald

By Maggie O'Brien

U.S. Senate candidate Bob Kerrey said Monday he was "deeply offended" by the tone of Nebraska Secretary of State John Gale's assertion that Kerrey cavalierly registered to vote in Nebraska.

In a Monday letter to Gale, Kerrey criticized the secretary of state for casting doubt on his residency while saying that Kerrey can run for the Senate.

Kerrey said Gale's analysis threw "unnecessary and unjustified doubt onto my right to vote."

A former Nebraska governor and U.S. senator from Nebraska, Kerrey returned to the state late last month to launch a Senate race. He has lived in New York City for the past 12 years.

I always felt like Nebraskan right wing nutters only want other nutters to feel free to return home. If you're a liberal from Nebraska, they'd rather you go away and stay away.

By the way, thanks for the pedestrian bridge Bob. Love it! The good people of Iowa and Nebraska are going to reap the rewards of that infrastructure spending for quite some time. Anyone who calls it pork, should get over their fear of going downtown, and go see how incredibly busy that bridge is all the time.

does not look so good, as in Kerry only moved back to run for office, if he did not run he would have stayed in NYC.

If that's okay with folks, I think Kerrey's in the clear.
