Neb. GOP to challenge Kerrey (D-NE) in court

The state GOP is moving ahead with plans to go to court in attempt to keep Senate candidate Bob Kerrey off the May primary election ballot.

Mark Fahleson, head of the Nebraska Republican Party, was to hold an afternoon press conference Tuesday in Lincoln to announce details of the lawsuit.

Kerrey, a Democrat, is in the middle of a political controversy, however, after Nebraska Secretary of State John Gale challenged a statement he made under oath when registering to vote. Kerrey had used his sister’s house as his residence, then found another home a day later.
