Top Republican Concedes Obamacare Repeal Unlikely

Source: TPM

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), the No. 4 Republican in the House, admitted that Obamacare is likely here to stay, despite House Republicans' 50 votes to repeal the law.

"We need to look at reforming the exchanges," she told the Spokesman-Review in an interview published Friday. She said that Republicans probably won't be able to fully repeal the law, and should instead focus on other reforms within the current structure of Obamacare.

"It is a top-down, one-size-fits-all approach to health care," McMorris Rodgers said, adding that she thinks consumers should have more choice within the exchanges.

This pretty much says it all folks.. we knew this was coming!! K AND R!!! i think the GOP's hopes are fading for the midterms.... ACA/Obama care will be a wash or a small net plus for us come election day.. Dems are smart to be campaigning FOR it , rather than being spineless!!! GOTV!! The politics on this thing are rapidly changing and it is not in the favor of the GOP!!! The teabaggers and their base is not going to like what she said.. LOL!! Let the circular firing squad begin in the GOP once again!!!!!

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid had the opportunity to put a boot heel on the neck of the Republicans and choke them out. Instead the Repukes were allowed a come back, and now we have been suffering from a dysfunctional House and an obstructed Senate. This is a war, and we need to win.

All of the Republican candidates here are having one giant circle jerk on their tv ads about who can repeal Obamacare the best.

The choices now available are those provided by the private insurers. The government can't force them to offer better plans at lower prices.

The way to give consumers more choice is to add a public option.
