Libertarian host who inspired Vegas killers: They were ‘victims,’ murdering cops saves lives

Source: Raw Story

A libertarian gun activist — who was convicted on weapons charges after he carried a loaded shotgun in downtown Washington, D.C. — this week defended two people who recently went on a shooting rampage in Las Vegas, killing two police officers and another person.

On his Wednesday Internet show, Adam Kokesh blasted the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) for noting that Jerad and Amanda Miller had been inspired by his gun activism.

“You’re not going to get away with it this time USA Today and SPLC,” Kokesh insisted, arguing that the shooters had acted because “authority has become a homicidal institution against freedom.”

Kokesh asserted that the slaying of the two officers was not “murder” because police are likely to kill people.

“Think of how many lives might have been saved by this incident. How many people would these cops have killed had they not been killed?” ~ Libertarian nut-job Adam Kokesh

The entire video is over 30 mins long, here's a few important parts to save you time.

2:37 (Host): When you have police officers that are going around and doing violent things all day long and then they take a break for lunch, well it doesn't mean all of a sudden they are innocent or they're being peaceful

6:35 (Host): There is no such thing as a good cop

7:37 (Host): How many lives might have been saved by this incident? How many people would these cops have killed had they not been killed?

7:52 (Host): I feel like this is kind of blaming the victim to even blame the shooters here.

24:43 (Host referring to Jared Miller): He has been victimized repeatedly by government. Including being locked in a cage, again we're blaming the victim here

29:03 (Host referring to shootings): ...Not necessarily unjustified violence when you understand what the police state is, when you understand what government is

About a year ago this individual was on the Alex Jones show organizing an armed revolt/overthrow of the government. At that time Jones called it "civil rights at its core" and compared it events such as the Rosa Parks bus protest.

Here is the video with the important parts highlighted.

6:13: Guest: "Alex, this is an armed revolt against the American government. Make no mistake about it. That does not change the nature of the event and that does not change the fact that every criticism leveled against what we are planning to do would be true of any act of resistance, of any open protest of any act of rebellion"

8:02: Guest: "we are revolting with arms"

11:23: Guest: "I will not let government tell me what to do and yes, we are going with the aim of overthrowing the government. It has become obsolete, it is an anachronism in 2013 that we still believe as a human beings that we should be organizing society by coercion and violence and force of a central authority."

14:31: Guest: "We have to make it clear and put government on notice that we will use physical force when necessary and when appropriate to defend ourselves I'm very glad that we haven't come quite to that situation yet but the government's reaction to what we do on independence day may prove that to be necessary, I hope that they are not going to put us in that situation where violent resistance is appropriate"

22:02: Guest: "We are asserting the right to be armed and to apply deadly force"

23:45 Alex Jones: "Well look, this is civil rights at its core, just like black folks going in and sitting at lunch counters saying I'm not gonna you know get food out of the window anymore, I'm a human or going to the bathroom or sitting at the front of the bus back then that was in incredibly radical. Those people were demonized."

26:38: Guest: "You'll be on the wrong side of the firing line when the shooting starts"

I live in a very blue district. I've seen 2A Solution bumper stickers. They posted white painted face of Obama posters common on Infowars and Libertarian sites in public.

They still drive around with their Ron Paul,'I'm a producer, not a 47%er.' Ron Paul or Romney bumper stickers. They are openly hostile to people that live here of any color or condition. They make a scene in public, at a gas station or the post office or wherever, yelling angrily over nothing.

Fortunately, they are so rare it's like spotting a Dodo bird.

This a diverse area, racially, religiously, disabled and well abled, where immigrants are welcome and involved in maintaining civil society and we have good wages. We still support our unions and our public schools. The guys busy shilling for the apocalypse aren't dolng too well in urban areas, but in the rural ones, but we're in their 'gunsights.'

They do have converts stirring the anti-government message with their lifestyle, although they have benefited from it ij the past. They suddenly want to be independent of being considerate of their neighbors. They want to play frontier.

They give me the creeps and I certainly wouldn't count on any of them for assistance, as it's conditional on how they perceive others in their B&W view of the world. If they get majority, things will get bad.

Yet they believe they are the ones being oppressed!

advocated violence against cops has been removed and his posts have turned into "message auto-removed." His message went something like "all cops are evil and do not deserve to live."

Yes, sometimes gun crazies post on DU, but MIRT does a great job of eventually eradicating them and their hate-filled right-wing messages.

the militaristic direction our law enforcement seems to be taking lately BUT the way to handle this is not to become as lawless and violent as the worst bad cops out there.

Probably none. There are many many cops who only draw their guns once or twice in their careers!

To my understanding.
