GAB recommends recall elections against Walker, Kleefisch

Source: Associate Press

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin elections officials are recommending that a recall election against Gov. Scott Walker proceed.

Staff of the Government Accountability Board say in a memo released Thursday that more than enough signatures were collected on petitions seeking recalls of Walker and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.

The board was scheduled to vote Friday on certifying the election. The primary would be May 8 and the general election would be June 5.

The board has already said enough signatures were collected on petitions seeking the recalls of four Republican state senators. It plans to vote Friday on certifying those elections for the same dates as those against Walker and Kleefisch.

Thursday's memo says there were 900,938 valid signatures on the Walker petition, far more than the 540,208 needed.

Kathleen Falk
Kathleen Vinehout and
Doug LaFollette.

Tom Barrett still hasn't announced, though he probably will make his decision by Tuesday as that is when the mayoral election is held and he has said he will announce before then. Feingold has continued to decline.

I live in Michigan and I donated to his campaign. He's awesome when we shows up on The Ed Show.

Or was that a poor selection of possible voters there? Maybe they were GOP.

...he got hit by a car in 1966, the year I guess the Packers won their first championship, and he was in St Vincent's Hospital all cracked up ... and for some reason a couple of the players came thru ... and he ended up with a football autographed by pretty much the whole team.

Doesn't make him fit to be Lt Gov, though.
