Boko Haram kidnaps wife of Cameroon's vice PM, kills at least three

Source: news.msn.com

YAOUNDE, July 27 (Reuters) - The wife of Cameroon's vice prime minister was kidnapped and at least three people were killed in an attack by Boko Haram militants on in the northern town of Kolofata on Sunday, Cameroon officials said.

A local religious leader, or lamido, named Seini Boukar Lamine, who is also the town's mayor, was kidnapped as well, in a separate attack on his home.

Boko Haram, the Nigerian Islamist militant group, has stepped up cross-border attacks into Cameroon in recent weeks as Cameroon has deployed troops to the region, joining international efforts to combat the militants.

"I can confirm that the home of Vice Prime Minister Amadou Ali in Kolofata came under a savage attack from Boko Haram militants," Issa Tchiroma told Reuters by telephone.

"They unfortunately took away his wife. They also attacked the lamido's residence and he was also kidnapped," he said, and at least three people were killed in the attack.

Could you imagine if some cowardly organization kidnapped the wife of the VP?! I think shit is going to start to get real in N. Africa. I'm watching. We'll see.

I think it's beyond the capacity of Cameroon or Nigeria, or any other struggling nation to deal with these murderous thugs. A shame that the world sits idly by and reads stories such as this nearly daily. They need to be eliminated, and they are not able to deal with the scourge. It would be like expecting Honduras to stop the flow of drugs across their borders. Get real!

They shouldn't ask for our involvement because only black people and primarily women are suffering. Wait for your turn.

We are extremely busy with Ukraine and the problems of the white (spremacist?) people there - mainly males.

No oil? Too busy.

No white people? Too busy.

Now if any pretty, young, white blonde girls go missing you just let us know and we'll be right over.

It would be blocked here by both Congress and the public.

FWIW, even DU would go ballistic.

We're entering a long period of isolationism, like it or not.
