President Obama Smacks Down Jesus Heckler By Saying 'I Believe In God'

A female heckler interrupted President Barack Obama's speech about the economy in Kansas City, Missouri, on Wednesday by yelling, "Jesus is the lord of Israel!"

Unfazed, Obama inquired, "I'm sorry, what are you hollering about?" as the woman repeated her cry. "OK," he said.

As she continued shouting, Obama retorted, "I believe in God, thanks for the prayer. Amen! Thank you."

Before he could go on with his speech, he was interrupted again, this time by the Missouri audience cheering and chanting, "We love you! We love you!"

They and their leaders were given free will as well. I have friends - not Jewish, Evangelical Christians - who think that anything Israel does is blessed by God and should have our full support. They are not evaluating the situation for what it is. GGGGGGRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

Who the fuck cares if he believes in God? He should have quoted Matthew 6:5-6 to shut that woman up:

“Whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, because they love to pray while standing in synagogues and on street corners so that people can see them. Truly I say to you, they have their reward. But whenever you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you."

Just a few days ago a religious wacky doodle yelling Obama was the Anti-Christ, now this incident. They really believe they are acting in the name of God. Damn, I hate religion and wonder how much more advanced we could be as a society if we could do away with this curse.

They are just announcing to the world their parents taught them no manners as children.

I had a chance to meet Condi Rice once in *'s 2nd term. While I disagree vehemently with her role in the Bush Maladministration, this was no place to shout out something against her and the war or to not shake her hand. That would have been just plain inappropriate.
