Prince William and Kate expecting second child

The Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant with her second child.

Kensington Palace said the Queen and members of both families were delighted with the news.

The palace said that - as when she was pregnant with Prince George - the duchess was suffering from very acute morning sickness and was being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.

The baby will become fourth in line to the throne, moving Prince Harry further down the line of succession. Our correspondent added that this pregnancy was likely to generate excitement but was lacking the constitutional significance of Prince George's birth - as things stand the unborn boy or girl is not destined to be monarch.

they cannot get their ass over to Buckingham Palace quickly enough to receive their honor.

But seriously, what it is is fascination with what you don't have. And the US has a lot of things like natural wonders but one thing it is lacking is royalty and the associated pomp and pageantry that dates back hundreds and hundreds of years.

with executive powers, free trade, demand for a return to constitutionality (which a lot in London wanted against George III's modernizing efforts), breaking London's Indian treaties to totally open the west from the mountains to the Mississip, tax breaks and trade monopolies, and sheer greed were all in the mix as much as any plain-vanilla republicanism

Whereas couples of modest means debate whether or not they could even afford the means of rearing a child.
