Cory Gardner: ‘There is no federal personhood bill’

Source: KDVR-TV FOX 31 Denver

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Cory Gardner maintained that there is no federal legislation that is tantamount to Colorado’s personhood initiative during an interview that aired Sunday morning on #COpolitics: From The Source.

Gardner, who disavowed the statewide ballot initiative weeks after launching his campaign, is still listed as a co-sponsor on the federal Life Begins at Conception Act, which the bill’s authors have explained is an effort to establish personhood.

“There is no federal personhood bill,” Gardner said four different times during the interview with FOX31 political reporter Eli Stokols when the conversation turned to women’s health issues...

Gardner attributed the conclusion that the federal bill is practically the same thing as the statewide ballot measure — a conclusion agreed to by Personhood USA, the legislation’s authors and the independent website FactCheck.org — to his opponent, Democratic Sen. Mark Udall’s inability to defend his own record.

Gardner was under pressure all summer to take his name off the federal Life at Conception Act, since without that, his flip-flop on the state Personhood measure meant nothing. He refused, and now he's in this untenable situation where he has to deny what everyone else can plainly recognize.

He's absolutely screwed, as long as the voters see it.

and what the are/mean since he clearly either hasn't read them or isn't capable of understanding all those big words. I mean 'personhood' is a 3 syllable word......I'm surprised he can even pronounce that many syllables let alone understand them. He really is such a mealy mouthed wimp it doesn't take a strong breeze to make him change his position. His normal position is bent over with his head up his own ass (sorry I don't have the pic to go with this)
