Mold, mice, bugs among unsanitary conditions found at Arrowhead, Kauffman stadiums

Source: KCTV

Aramark, which operates the concession stands at the Truman Sports Complex, blamed the issues on a disgruntled employee and said the company takes food safety quite seriously.

Jon Costa, a food safety manager for Aramark, said he spoke out because his employer repeatedly failed to take the steps to protect customers.

"I didn't run to the media for help. I tried to fix it first for two years," Costa said. "I'm very passionate about this. I don't know where I can go."

The details in the dozens of pages by the health inspectors are not for the squeamish. Mold was found growing on ice machines, food wasn't properly labeled or stored, mouse feces were on the same tray as pizza dough, cockroaches were an issue and employees who failed to follow sanitary procedures, trash was on the floor and utensils weren't clean.

at any place that serves food.

I've never worked in a restaurant, but I currently help cook and serve food at my local homeless shelter, and we are all pretty well trained about sanitation and the like.

Aramark, which operates the concession stands at the Truman Sports Complex, blamed the issues on a disgruntled employee! Yeah, I wonder why?
Then the Second bulshit line they always spew,
and said the company takes food safety quite seriously. I'm so sure they do, Just enough to not get caught.

The truth here is more likely, they work their employees to death for shit pay and benefits and give them no time to finish the job their supposed to do. This has been what I've seen most often with food companies WHEN their is a problem.

I've seen this all too often.

They care alright.

They care just enough buy not nearly enough to allow their employees the ability to meet the bare minimum of food health safety regulations....then throw the employees under the bus when they fail inspections miserably.

SSDD.
