Bill Walker Projected to Win Alaska Governor Race

NBC's Decision Desk has marked Bill Walker the apparent winner in Alaska's gubernatorial race. The independent was narrowly beating incumbent Republican Sean Parnell by 3,000 votes after election night, but the race was too close to call at that time.

They made a deal and merged together to fight the Republican.

Bill Walker was formerly a Republican but went independent, with the merger of the campaigns, Byron Mallot (the Democrat) may have a small bit of sway and at least the ear of Walker...

This is an "effective" win for Democrats though Libertarian social / Republican economic issues will likely be approached. On the social side, that's great, on the economic side, not so much.

A carpet bagging teabagging woman hater is the senator now. As for this, good win. Parnell protected sexual predators in the guard and he is disliked with a capital D around here. Good win.
