New video shows Ferguson officer after shooting

Source: Washington Post

New video of Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson taken in the hours after the Aug. 9 shooting of Michael Brown was secured by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and published Friday night.

The first video, taken by surveillance cameras at the Ferguson Police Department, show Wilson leaving the building after the shooting with several other men.

The other video shows Wilson and the men returning to the department headquarters. The St. Louis paper reports that Wilson left to go to the hospital and returned two hours later.

Almost no public images exist of Wilson, whose name was not released for almost a week after the shooting. The officer, who is on paid leave, had not been seen publicly since the day of the shooting. Some supporters of have said he was seriously injured in the altercation with Brown. The grainy video released this weekend shows Wilson moving normally but does not provide a close view of his face.

Today, we have some live footage.
Wait a week or so and we will have up close, enhanced color images.
With emphases on the injuries no less.

4. So, he left the police station to go to the hospital, then returned?

In other words, they decided at the station that his injuries, if any, weren't sufficient to match his story. So, they "enhanced" his injuries then took him to the hospital so that staff there could vouch for his injuries.

The previous lack of medical exam will be offset by this (a normal check off HR provider) with "He DID get medical treatment"

I will be very surprised if he is indicted at this point.

21st century, we are in. Amazing.

7. Interesting that one of the people with him was his lawyer.

Seems he was worried more about his legal situation than his medical one.

Anyone want to take my bet that the lawyer is the one that told him to go to the hospital? Wouldn't surprise me if he also "hinted" that it would look better if his "injuries" were a little more severe.

1) Darren Wilson is a huge guy. I read again and again about how big Michael Brown was, but never a word about the size of Officer Wilson. Of course, the size of either man has absolutely no relevance to the guilt or innocence of either of them, but I find it troubling that only Brown's size seems to be reported again and again.

2) Whether there was a struggle or not (and I believe there was) doesn't excuse a trained police officer emptying his weapon at an unarmed man who is running away from him (and let's face it, the "bull rush" is bull crap, since Brown was shot through his eye BEFORE the fatal shot through the top of his head).
