Bill Cosby's Arizona show canceled amid scandal

Source: AP-EXCITE

NEW YORK (AP) — Bill Cosby's February appearance at an Arizona casino has been canceled amid widening allegations of sexual assault.

No reason was given by Diamond Desert Casino in Tucson, Arizona for the canceled Feb. 15 show.

In the past week, numerous allegations of sexual abuse by Cosby from a number of women have led to canceled interviews and NBC and Netflix projects. "The Cosby Show" also was pulled off the air on TV Land. Cosby issued a statement Sunday discrediting decades-old accusations and his attorney has denied four of the allegations.

or fined him for rape &/or sexual assault before being convicted. I could be wrong...

When asked why they are taking this action, the casino folks should just use the same response that BC has used:

believe what you please as I shall. He's not guilty of anything until it is proven that he is guilty by a jury of his peers.

It's presumed innocent until "proven" guilty (in a court of law).

Plenty of guilty people go free because the legal proof is not there or the jury is biased. Plenty of innocent people are "proven" guilty in a court of law.

commenting on this one. I smell a big pile of BS being dropped. Mr. Cosby is allowed the same "presumption" of innocence as that 'peace officer' wilson. Yeah plenty of innocent people are put away every day in this country, nothing new. And look at bush and cheney, they're guilty of war crimes and they went free.

He had better be guilty, I actually hope he is at this point, because if he isn't then this is a terrible thing to do to a man whose already lost a son to a senseless murder.

He definitely appears to be guilty, but the circumstances also give more then enough reason for me to have reasonable doubt, especially since it never went to a court of law.

are entitled to a presumption of innocence IS my point. There is NO difference. He, like wilson, may be as guilty as hell of crimes, yet he is still entitled to a presumption of innocence.

If these people had stolen money or simply indulged in drug abuse, or non-predatory sexual behavior, sure, that can be separated.

But rape and genocide? No, some sins taint the soul and all that it touches.
