North Korea slams US as racist, human rights 'tundra'

Source: Yahoo News

Condemned at the UN for rights abuses, North Korea hit back Friday, describing the United States as a human rights "tundra" where racial discrimination flourishes.

Citing the protests that erupted when a police officer was not charged in the shooting death of an unarmed black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri, a foreign ministry spokesman heaped scorn on the notion of "rule of law" in the US.

"This is clear proof of the real picture of the US as a tundra of human rights, where extreme racial discrimination acts are openly practised," the spokesman was quoted as saying by the North's official KCNA news agency.

His remarks came a week after the UN adopted a landmark resolution urging the Security Council to refer North Korea's leaders to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for possible indictment on crimes against humanity.

How far away is the North Korean version of RT so Korean news models can use every fault of the US to hide their own horror-show country?

even the NK's know that in the US... racism is not over - our preaching to the rest of the world on human rights seems rather hypocritical considering our race and gun problem

Our most serious racial problems in this country pale completely and totally to what North Korea does, systematically, on a daily basis.

The North Korean government doesn't give a crap about racism or human rights.

but outing preachy USA as hypocritical is fair game.

The world is also watching in horror as America slips backwards and the 300+ million guns and gun deaths.

Good grief, it's US Derangement Syndrome. North Korea, really? How would they handle it if they had more than one race in their country? They can only talk because they will never have any such issue. They treat members of one race badly.

Our human rights abuse pale in comparison to N. Korea's, the US doesn't send people who speak against the govt to gulaugs, along with the whole family.
Sheesh, don't even compare N. Korea's human rights record to the US.

Shut up. When the North Korea people are better fed then they are now and free of the control of your police state, then you might have something to teach us.

It takes a shitload of denial to pretend that US foreign policy/war is somehow defensible.

I thought your "2 minute hate" fests were focused on Putin and Russia. Isn't N. Korea a bit too much like "low hanging fruit"?

exposing Putin if all you/those Putin "supporters" would stop posting RT and other BS propaganda.
I'm just keeping things balanced around here--every time "they" post BS lies, I post some truth about Putin, Ukraine, etc.
So pass the word

Oh, and you want to talk about denial? You're saying there's not a single aspect to US foreign policy that is defensible? Nothing? Wow. Where's the hatefest, exactly?

Even North Korea has worse problems with racism than the U.S., for one.....and then there's China, half of the Middle East(especially the Gulf States!), and several of the countries being taken over by the far-right in Europe are starting to come close, especially Hungary.....so, yeah, the KCNA can shut up now.
