COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) Ohio State's football stadium went silent Saturday as an announcer called out the name of a missing football player while a police poster seeking information on his disappearance appeared on the scoreboard.
Kosta Karageorge was the last of 24 Ohio State players who were expected to play their final game at Ohio Stadium against rival Michigan. His family says he was last seen Wednesday.
The seventh-ranked Buckeyes went on to defeat archrival Michigan 42-28. After the game, an emotional coach Urban Meyer addressed the missing player.
"Our prayers and thoughts are with him and his family and to have him return home safe," Meyer said.

The mother of a missing Ohio State football player has told police he texted her about his prior concussions the morning he disappeared. A missing-person report filed with Columbus police Wednesday evening, Nov. 26, 2014, says Karageorge told his mother he was sorry if he was an embarrassment but concussions had his head messed up. (535 posts)I checked a popular sports website and see nothing on there about the missing player. He mentioned concussions and tptb all turned a blind eye.
Hope he is found alive.

I am sorry if I am an embarrassment, but these concussions have my head all fked up, Kosta Karageorge wrote via The Columbus Dispatch.
The 22-year-old Ohio State senior was last seen at his apartment around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday. He was upset and went for a walk. He missed football practice that day and hasnt been seen since, which his family said is uncharacteristic."

Parents should not let their kids play sports where concussions are routine. It is very dangerous. My SO taught college level physical education. Our kids were not allowed to wrestle, or play football or soccer. Sports with recurring head trauma need completely revamped if kids are going to play these sports.
As an aside, the Ohio State quarterback had his ankle broken yesterday in the Michigan-Ohio State game. No one seemed the least concerned on the TV about this or the way the coach used the kid as if he was just a commodity to be used up and disposed of when no longer needed. The health and futures of all these young men are sacrificed so the universities, the networks, the advertisers and the NCAA can all rake in billions in profits.
I sincerely hope this young man is found safe somewhere very soon.
