In the midst of a worsening feud with two of its police unions, the de Blasio administration announced Thursday night that it has finalized a labor contract with a third.
The Captains Endowment Association earlier in the day ratified the tentative contract announced last month by a vote of 339-151.
At the same time, the union representing the city's sanitation chiefs also approved its contract, according to a statement from the mayor.
"I am very pleased that the unions representing the police captains and sanitation chiefs have overwhelmingly ratified their respective collective bargaining agreements," de Blasio said in the statement. "These settlements show that the parties can reach a timely agreement on a voluntary basis without the delays of arbitration or litigation."
