France to protect all religions, vows Francois Hollande

French President Francois Hollande has vowed that his country will protect all religions, saying that Muslims are the main victims of fanaticism.

Speaking at the Arab World Institute, he said Islam was compatible with democracy and thanked Arabs for their solidarity over terrorism in Paris.

Speaking on Thursday morning, Mr Hollande said that the French were united in the face of terror.

"French Muslims have the same rights as all other French," he said. "We have the obligation to protect them

The USA has many good citizens too, but it disappoints how fractured/divided/socially depressed & knee jerk our society is.

They can be frustratingly blasé and cynical, with a penchant for analyzing everything to death. "I THINK, THEREFORE I AM!"

They don't call themselves "cartésien" for nothing!

But, whatever their stripe, most French citizens share beloved, founding "Valeurs Républicaines" and will not allow them to be trampled under the boot of terrorist tyranny.

I agree with what Hollande is saying here. who knows for a fact that there is or isn't a holy one so I leave that judgment for those who want to make the call for themselves. Just don't be trying to shove that crap down my throat and we'll get along just fine.
