NBC firmly shuts door on Bill Cosby

Source: Boston Herald

PASADENA, Calif. — The door is firmly shut to Bill Cosby's return to NBC, the network's top entertainment executive said Friday.

"That's safe to say," NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt said Friday when asked if the network would ever again do a project with Cosby, who 30 years ago was the sitcom king with the network's "The Cosby Show."

NBC's decision to sever ties with the 77-year-old comedian comes in the wake of multiple allegations of sexual assault against him, two lawsuits and a complaint to Los Angeles police earlier this week from a woman who says the comedian sexually abused her in 2008.

The network said late last year it was dropping plans to develop a "classic" family sitcom with him. The series was announced in mid-2014, before a rising tide of accusations against Cosby by women who say he drugged and assaulted them.

Cosby "hasn't been found guilty in a court of law," hence he is "innocent until proven guilty."

Puh-leeze!

It's highly likely that Cosby will NOT sit in a courtroom to address these charges. Does this mean we must disbelieve all the women who've come forward telling chillingly similar experiences at the hands of this bat rastard?

Does anyone else see how perfect a cover it was for him to portray "Dr. Huxtable" while he was--okay, allegedly--prowling for young women?

No, Yet most of us would believe he is guilty.

I believe Cosby is guilty too, but he will never be convicted. Maybe one or two liars, maybe. In reading the stories, there is a real sense of sincerity and honesty among many. Unless there was terrific amount of people getting together to concoct these stories, a certain number, I believe are real. And there is the story of the man standing in front of the room making sure no one goes in while Cosby was "busy"..That would have to be made up too. Yes the president before Obama will never be convicted or stand trial, and neither will Cosby.

but no one is going to trust him. And any entertainment company is going to view him as a liability, rather than someone that's going to make money for them. They are going to be less likely to hire him to do shows.
NBC is just the first.
