And the CEO makes a reasonable salary too. And the workers enjoy working there. I held out joining for several years until I heard that.

Koch is way worse than Walmart. At least Walmart didn't buy the entire republican party.

...and any other employee-owned corporation. They may not be perfect, but they do at least allow their workers a say in the way the company is run, rather than merely treating them as line items on the budget. Of course, America's best "corporation" is probably a worker's co-operative or a self-employed sole trader, but it would probably fall outside the remit of the competition to nominate those.

They employ a lot of people in Ann Arbor and are big advocates for a living wage. Paul Saginaw testified before congress about it.

What scum the Waltons are. They could pay a decent wage with benefits and still be rich but they choose not to so they can be filthier rich. They must be completely lacking compassion and empathy and if their is a Hell I hope they enjoy it down there. Greed is not good, far from it, and what greedy little insects they are.

I haven't been in one for ten years and will never enter one again.

There are 42 executive officers in the company, none of whom are Waltons, and only 2 Waltons are on the 14-member Board of Directors.

Apple somehow manages to make
its money in Ireland,
but does next to nothing there.

on top of that, Apple pays a negotiated rate
to Ireland of 2%

good gig if you can get it

Both have friendly and knowledgeable staff, are willing to assist in loading.
Both buy locally harvested timber, and are typically cheaper than any big box store, and carry Way better products.

There are also two natural food stores that I shop at that have quality produce and are also cheaper than the typical grocery stores (including Wal *) on their bulk items (Oats, beans, eggs, some produce).

I avoid giving any money to support the oligarchs in this country.

25. Don't forget corporations are people!
Mon Nov 3, 2014, 06:31 AM
Nov 2014

With a laugh and a chuckle, since corporations are people,

And I am a people, being a self-centered narcissistic egotistical chief operations officer of my one percent entity.

Now knowing because of Congressional Laws that I have all the amenities in legislation for bailouts and Cayman Island tax havens for profiteering in terror, war crimes, and American job out sourcing can put forward this declaration.

Plus the ability to create franchise 501-4c tax free secret stuff of metafiles laundering slush funds for political and lobby power.

Do submit my corporate mission.

I nominate myself as the best corporation via every stolen ballot out there I could get. Or suppress every stupid minority possible.

Also to be able to screw the first amendment to offer every cruel misinformation I could put in the media or every advantage the media will offer to commercials, simple stupid ones or complex stupid to be able to lie deceive, and convolute anything I say.

That includes obstruction to progress and encourage the electorate to vote against their intention all backed up by Hollywood where indictments and legal ease can be substantiated to protect my corporation by the Supreme Court and the military police for freedom and justice for all.

Please this is satire because I cannot stand the political commercials anymore they are driving me nuts.

28. The worst is not Walmart, it is Gilead Science Inc..manufature of Sovaldi...the $1000 a pill company

The drug company ...Gilead Sciences Inc.... of Foster City, Calif., manufactures "Sovaldi."

These assholes charge as much as they can. Walmart's business model is totally different. Look at the profit the drug companies make..20 percent, and more.
...Walmart's profit is 3 percent of gross. Fuck, this new drug to cure Hepetitis C..easily could break the system of health care. I am not saying that Walmart is not a whore. Our pricing system for medicines, is worse than Wallmart. ..Why?????? if it wasn't Wallmart, then it would be Target, or Kmart. or Fuckmart. Here is a company that is selling something that people need to cure an incurable illness, and it charges 1000 a pill...what about the profit there?...think it over..You comment if you wish. my vote is for .....

the 1000 a pill company...............

Gilead Science Inc..... oh, how about this little tidbit....

Gilead makes a fortune on selling HIV drugs to the world, and they are priced so high, that some countries cannot afford them,..think that one over....
