Pastor Tells God to Punish America Just as he did Sodom and Gomorrah

The Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage has the evangelical right-wing flying off the handle with all their end times nonsense. Cornerstone Baptist Church Pastor John Hagee called upon the Almighty to smite America like Sodom and Gomorrah, reported RawStory.

“The Supreme Court has made America the new Sodom and Gomorrah,” said Hagee. “God will have to judge America or is going to have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.”

Hagee’s fiery rhetoric didn’t stop there. He also likened the Court’s ruling to the story in Exodus where the Pharaoh ordered the murder of Hebrew baby boys.

Considering Hagee’s fire-and-brimstone approach to Christianity, he implied that God will judge America. Maybe it will rain frogs, or maybe swarms of locusts will ravage the country. Or, just maybe, nothing will happen. Things will continue just the same, except same-sex couples can now marry.
