... Did the U.S. bomber crews flying missions during World War II object to the protection from the German Luftwaffe afforded them by the Tuskegee Airmen? Did the southerners at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge, the 101st Airborne Division, hate the 761st (the Black Panthers) when that tank battalion broke through the German lines to their rescue? It is unfortunate that black Americans were treated better overseas than in the country for which they were putting their lives on the line.
