from Robert Reich:Put an asshole at the head of the ticket and the shit falls everywhere.

My friend, a former Republican member of Congress, phoned me this morning.

HE: We’re crumped.

ME: Crumped?

HE: Cruz and Trump. They’re in the lead. Worse yet, the crazies in the Party are now talking about putting them together on one ticket -- a “super-conservative” duo. My god. Trump is a bigoted moron. Cruz is almost as nuts.

ME: Can they be stopped?

HE: Been on the phone for days with folk who are going to run ads against each of them. But it maybe too late. Everyone I know is apoplectic. Lots of are talking about voting for Hillary. Even Bernie would have a chance against these bozos.

ME: You think they'd affect congressional races?

HE: Sure. Put an asshole at the head of the ticket and the shit falls everywhere.

ME: This isn’t bad news for the Democrats.

HE: It will be if one of these jerks becomes president. Then we’re all crumped.

while I am happy Scott Walker (who could have been a disaster as President) was chased off, Bush will not be. It will not matter if God himself tells him you cannot win, there are too many Bushes who think John Ellis Bush can erase the legacy stain W is and was. I also will tell you, Florida is vulnerable to him, not because many love him, but he and his little minion Rubio have been making a joke out of the Democrats for years, thanks to the "leadership" of one Debbie Wasserman Schultz. They know they can march in, and even if Riock Scott tries to hamstring things for his own plans...Bush has a network. He stole Florida once already.

Yes Cruz and Trump will be trouble, but the one thing we do not is, in all the noise, which the media will love, to lose sight of what the Bushes do. To quote "the usual suspects" the great trick the Devil does is to make you think he is not there, and that is a Bush family trait. Act harmless until you grab power, than do damage.

And maybe threatening to treat incoming refugees to a catapult launch back over the border, I don't see Jeb showing that he has enough tea in his blood to compete with the rest of the clowns.
