2. Well, the State Sept concluded that large an increase would result in lless economic development.

"However, the State Department spokesperson added in the email: “In Haiti, approximately 80 percent of the population is unemployed and 78 percent earns less than $1 per day”— actually, according to the UN Development Program, 78 percent of Haitians live on less than $2, not $1, a day—and “the US government is working with the government of Haiti and international partners to help create jobs, support economic growth, promote foreign direct investment that meets ILO labor standards in the apparel industry and invest in agriculture and beyond.”

Sadly, economic factors are difficult to accept when that many people are hurting. But sounds like the State Department might have made the best decision for the short term for the country as a whole.

11. What you are advocating is a form of corporatism, its not globalism

Your fake globalism is a sleazy exploitative narrative you use to take from working people everywhere and give more to the already extremely wealthy. Its bad for the economy of both countries because that money is not spent, its hoarded.

13. I expect countries to set proper minimum wages, tax corporations, etc. But, you gotta have the jobs

investment first for that to do any good. Raising taxes or setting higher minimum wages don't do a lot of good if there is no foreign investment or jobs.

So, in your judgement, poor countries just need to stay that way because no one else is going to invest money in economic development which provides jobs, and taxes for health care, etc.

Promising jobs in the West as payback. other peoples jobs.

the corrupt dictators of the world love the Clintons and the Obama as and the Bushs, even if it is a bullshit promise, it keeps people HOPING, ship off the middle class to America instead of ending the corruption which keeps them down
