Thousands Call to Impeach Judge After He Gives Father Just 60 Days for Raping 12-Year-Old Daughter

A disturbing case out of Montana involving charges of incest and child rape is quickly catching national attention, but not merely because of its appalling nature.

Americans are lashing out at Judge John C. McKeon for a ruling he handed down in early October.

As KTVQ reports, McKeon sentenced a father to a controversial 60 days in prison — despite that he had admitted in court to raping his 12-year-old daughter.

Initially, prosecutors had sought a prison term of 100 years for the father — who has been identified by local media as 40-year-old Martin Blake — with 75 of those years suspended per an in-state law.

Plea bargain. Only evidence very likely inadmissible. Not judge's fault. Cicada Oct 2016 #5

To be a minor offense? No one deserves this kind of treatment. The poor girl was just told by the system that her trauma doesn't mean shit to these people -- her life has no value in their eyes.

Does this judge think that man won't do it again? Where is the judge's empathy? Would he feel the same way if it happened to him or someone he loves?

WTF?

How the hell can anyone say he is not a danger to reoffend. Anyone who rapes a 12 year old????

Here is a justification article. I don't see any justification. How can you spend more time smoking some pot than raping your own 12 year daughter. The DA is also culpable. He should have gone high order on the sentencing report from the psychologist. Looks like some sort of home cooking going on here.

This guy got the same sentence as someone who excavated fossils on private land. Nice to know property ownership is as important as RAPING A 12 YEAR OLD.

The prosecutor would not have agreed to the plea, and the judge would not have accepted the plea, unless the defendant was virtually certain to be acquitted at trial. In cases like this the only evidence proving guilt is usually inadmissible. Sometimes you know the person is guilty but you can't prove it in a court of law. So you agree to something like this. Once upon a time I was charged with possessing marijuana which tested positive as marijuana. The prosecutor dropped the charges when I brought to him an affidavit signed by a priest who was with me and my other friends watching football at my house stating facts which proved the cop lied about his search of my house (actually search of my pants pocket), proving it was an illegal search. The prosecutor knew a priest on the witness stand would be believed. So I was guilty as hell but I could not be proven guilty. Same thing here almost certainly.

"Still, Judge McKeon said that it was testimony in support of Blake from his “family, friends, church and his employer” that caused him to give less than the recommended sentence."

I short, the very people who are often COLLABORATORS to protect the molester rather than the rape victim. ESPECIALLY CHURCHES!
