Conservatives Story About How Republicans Are Born Backfires Spectacularly

Anti-tax activist Grover Norquist seemed to think he had the perfect example to explain his problem with taxes, and to illustrate ― as he put it ― “how Republicans are born.”

On Sunday, the head of the conservative Americans for Tax Reform wrote on Twitter:

The post quickly went viral, but probably not for the reasons Norquist expected. Of the more than 4,500 comments, many explained exactly what the tax on that guitar would be used for.

but, you know, businesses are great, they deserve that $25 and gubmints are bad, even though businesses benefit greatly from police, roads, property laws, courts, currency, many forms of aid, etc.

A Republican is someone who was born on their parents employer provided insurance then moved their own employer provided insurance.

A Democrat is someone who has ever had to pay for their own insurance or pay for medical expenses out of pocket.

If you never see a cost, it doesn't exist.

$35 guitar?!?!? WTF? $35 won't buy ANY GUITAR MADE, you can't even buy a plastic ukulele being hawked by a soon to be deported Guatemalan who's also selling pinatas and striped ,very very scratchy, blankets, on the side of the road.

He would have told her to bring an extra ten or fifteen bucks to make sure she actually had what was needed, so dick move on his part. If he REALLY wanted to be a Decent Human, he would have covered that 15 bucks himself.

But then how would the 8 year old have learned about Bootstraps and Big Evil City Government???

Grover thinks Republicans are born. He's wrong. They're MADE by others who teach only mindless Hate. And they're made that way ON PURPOSE.
