Now Sarah Sanders says John Kellys blatant lying isnt wrong because its what he felt

Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders offered another bizarre defense of John Kelly's lies, essentially claiming that his "heartfelt" account was so emotional that it must be true.
The Trump administration just cannot admit that chief of staff John Kelly was caught in a bald-faced lie.
Kellys defamatory swipe at Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson has been proven to be utterly baseless by video and local press, and officially confirmed as a lie by PolitiFact.
Kelly has thus far refused to apologize, despite multiple calls to do so. And not only has the White House continued its attacks on Wilson and on the Gold Star family for whom she spoke up, drawing the ire of Donald Trump and his team theyve also continued to insist, despite all evidence to the contrary, that Kelly didnt actually lie at all.
Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders came to the immediate defense of Kellys lie that Wilson had publicly bragged about securing funding for a new FBI building dedicated to the memory of two slain agents, and sought to promote herself while speaking at the solemn ceremony.

BUT, the way she looks, speaks, moves, her facial expressions, body language, all of it show what a filthy, ugly human being she is.

(53,787 posts)Congresswoman Wilson. That's the opposite of integrity.
Nothing that comes out of that WH can be believed.
She's so in over her head. It was almost painful watching her struggle and contort herself to justify Kelly's lies.

(13,595 posts)Wilson speaking at that event and taking some credit for something. So he maybe wasn't paying all that much attention. He thinks it must have been taking credit for getting the funding to get the building built. I suppose grandstanding on that might be the most objectionable thing, if there was anything to be offended by. Obviously what he was going for.
The thing is that it was not a memorial service for the two agents that were killed. It was a dedication of the new building, more of a celebration. The families and friends of the two men had had years to heal from their loss. Their story was appropriately retold of course. It was entirely appropriate for all those involved in getting the building named for them to take a bow and get a pat on the back.
