Hillary Clinton Chose to Shield a Top Adviser Accused of Harassment in 2008
Source: The New York Times
Mrs. Clintons campaign manager at the time recommended that she fire the adviser, Burns Strider. But Mrs. Clinton did not. Instead, Mr. Strider was docked several weeks of pay and ordered to undergo counseling, and the young woman was moved to a new job.
Mr. Strider, who was Mrs. Clintons faith adviser, a co-founder of the American Values Network, and sent the candidate scripture readings every morning for months during the campaign, was hired five years later to lead an independent group that supported Mrs. Clintons 2016 candidacy, Correct the Record, which was created by a close Clinton ally, David Brock.
He was fired after several months for workplace issues, including allegations that he harassed a young female aide, according to three people close to Correct the Records management.

(6,044 posts)According to article, campaign lawyer responded to Times:A spokesman for Mrs. Clinton provided a statement from Utrecht, Kleinfeld, Fiori, Partners, the law firm that had represented the campaign in 2008 and has been involved on sexual harassment issues.
To ensure a safe working environment, the campaign had a process to address complaints of misconduct or harassment. When matters arose, they were reviewed in accordance with these policies, and appropriate action was taken, the statement said. This complaint was no exception.
No indication that the accused harasser was not treated in accordance with the campaign's written policy-which the campaign would be obliged to follow.
The organization of David Brock's, Correct the Record, hired the person in question in 2016 and then did fire him for cause -presumably after due process.
Corporations do have to abide by their written workplace policies so if the facts in the article are accurate I do not see a problem.

(6,288 posts)That's the RW propaganda part of RWer Haberman's story.
Hillary didn't "Choose" to shield anyone..
So when do the RW Talking Points stop being repeated?
Suddenly this is about Hillary and barely a mention about the man who did the dirty deed.
Tha's the "tell" of a RW propaganda smear campaign.
But it surely does keeps DEM haters in their happy spot.
How many repeating this story can even name the guy who did the dirty deed?
Or what actually took place.
Haberman is a happy RW useful tool today.
Look how she got the RW tools to run with this.
Truth is irrelevant to those who despise democracy.
This bs story is evident.
