Scarred by School Shootings - Washington Post 3/23/18

"More than 187,000 students have been exposed to gun violence at school since Columbine, The Washington Post found.
Many are never the same. "

Good article - it makes important connections between the gun violence experienced by white kids and black kids - there's a lot more commonalities than I thought. Its infuriating the way the rightwingers are always trying to discredit white liberals/progressives by claiming we only care about the gun violence white kids experience and not black kids. Wrong! Both are manifestations of the same problem - too many guns & too easy access.

Also the article uses an expanded definition of what the problem is - not only mass shootings (which is defined as 4 or more victims) but all the other shootings (accidental and intentional) that are no less horrific and cumulatively take even more lives - by this definition, the number of kids who have been directly affected is really astounding - some schools have had 2 or more incidents since Columbine.
