Ocasio-Cortez to campaign with Bernie Sanders in Kansas
Congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will travel to Kansas together next week to campaign for a pair of candidates in the state, according to The Washington Post.
The pair will start off in Wichita, Kansas on July 20 to campaign for James Thompson in the states 4th district. From there theyll head to Kansas City to support former Sanders delegate Brent Welder, who is running for the Democratic nomination in the 3rd congressional district.

All over this country, you have people who understand that we need to [change] the minimum wage to a living wage; that health care is a right; that we need to rebuild our infrastructure, the progressive senator told the newspaper.
Those are popular issues in the Bronx. These are popular issues in Vermont. In Kansas, theyve gone through the [former governor Sam] Brownback agenda, and they do not believe you should give tax breaks to the rich and cut Social Security.

(58,899 posts)As soon as the rally was announced, the intercept and other took to Twitter in a vicious attack against KS-03 candidate Sharice Davids. It could be a Republican or Russian troll plot to stir shit up, but still not good.
and it's only getting worse.
Plus the discovery that Yoder's buds are helping Welder in a backhanded way.

(3,256 posts)Yoder came in the 2010 debacle and in a non presidential year it is about turnout. Lawrence and KC Kansas are both heavily democratic. Hats off to these two for helping get voters to the polls. Wichita should be doable, too.

That's why the Democratic Party included solutions to these problems in their platform, and why the last Democratic President enacted reforms to address these issues. The same President that the cited Senator wished primaried for his second term, and the same Democratic Party that the cited Senator cannot resist frequently sullying.
