Global opinion of US sinks further under Trump: survey
A Pew Research Center survey published Monday of people across 25 nations found that a median of 50 percent said they have a favorable view of the U.S., while a median of 43 percent said they have an unfavorable view of the country.
Views of America are down in particular among some of the nation's allies in North America and Europe. The survey found that 30 percent of Germans, 38 percent of French and 39 percent of Canadians have a favorable view of the U.S. all down from last year.
Views of President Trump are even lower, with a median of just 27 percent in the nations polled saying they have confidence in him to do the right thing in world affairs. Trump's lowest ratings are in Mexico, where only 6 percent of people said they have confidence in Trump.
Additionally, just 10 percent of Germans, 9 percent of people in France and 25 percent of Canadians said they have confidence in Trump, the survey found.
