- Iowa voters soured on Sen. Joni Ernst by 9 points, the biggest slide in net approval for any senator between the second and third quarters of 2019.

- Sens. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) and Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) each saw 3-point drops in net approval.

- Tillis, Gardner, Ernst and Sen. Martha McSally (R-Ariz.) all have approval ratings beneath 40%.

The most vulnerable Republican senators are not improving their standing in their home states ahead of a tough 2020 election cycle, while the field of potential Democratic challengers took shape and began to flex its muscle.

Moscow Mitch will have to defend the fact that he held up on purpose good legislation from the House from getting a hearing and vote in the Senate. Rest assured, Amy McGrath is paying attention to all this. She will hammer him hard.
