I don't have any NYT views left ...

I remember TARP put a ton of companies to work building roads and solar panels and such ... is this a case where we pay them money just to not shut their doors and fire everyone?

Cause I call that a bailout.

senators and Trump administration officials reached an agreement early Wednesday on a sweeping, roughly $2 trillion stimulus measure.

The deal would send direct payments and jobless benefits to individuals, as well as money to states and businesses devastated by the coronavirus pandemic.

The legislation, which is expected to be enacted within days, is the biggest economic stimulus package in modern American history, aimed at delivering critical financial support to businesses forced to shut their doors and relief to American families and hospitals reeling from the rapid spread of the disease and the resulting economic disruption.'

Everybody who thinks it won't be used to Trump's personal advantage raise your hand.

How long until Trump's hotels get their chunk of the action? Mar-A-Lago needs a complete facelift, doesn't it? And how about that bed bug problem at the Doral? Sounds like the whole hotel needs to be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up.

I'll bet Fat Donnie already has his legal team at work looking for ways around those restrictions. We know he has a history of lying and cheating -- why should this be any different?
