Briny water flows into area streams

Water testers are finding high levels of bromide in mine waste flowing into Ten Mile Creek and Whiteley Creek, which then flow into the Monongahela River. The river provides drinking water for one million people. Conservationists suspect the bromide is coming from wastewater from gas drilling someone is dumping into the mines.
