Romney Offers Explanation for Loss

"We weren't effective in taking my message primarily to minority voters—to Hispanic-Americans, to African-Americans, other minorities," Mr. Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, told Fox News in an interview that aired Sunday. "That was a real weakness."

Mr. Romney said he underestimated the appeal of President Barack Obama's health-care law to minority voters. And he argued his party must do more to bring such voters into the GOP fold, suggesting the challenge was one of outreach rather than party platform.

"We've got to do a better job taking our message to them to help them understand why we're the party with the ideas that will make their life better," he said.

"I lost my election because of my campaign, not because of what anyone else did," Mr. Romney said.

then I read the one you wrote and realized that it was pretty much the same thing but much more concise and to the point.

Well done.

And what, pray tell might those ideas be? I suspect they might be: "Get off your lazy asses and come scrub our toilets. We'll give you a half eaten biscuit and a swig of stale diet Coke. It's not like you'll be doing it for free. And you can wake up in the morning with some feeling of accomplishment!"

like Jean Tripplehorn as Barb in HBO's Big Love series about fundamentalist Mormon polygamists.

In that pic she also looks a bit like Katherine Heigl.

The thing about a lot of these Republican women--if we didn't know their nasty thoughts and words, and if they didn't so often have either a sneer or a haughty expression on their faces (or, like Bachmann, have a batsh*t crazy look in their eyes), they would be very attractive.

Same with the men. Mitt would be a handsome man--if he didn't have that stiff, unfeeling robotic quality to him. Pau Ryan's face would be boyishly cute--if we didn't know what vicious beliefs he harbors and wants to put into practice.

The one he wants to convey is, "vote for us and you'll all be rich someday!"

Unfortunately, that's the same message Amway salesmen have - and everyone knows at least two people who went broke selling Amway.

The real GOP message is, vote for us. We'll make the rich richer and, they will make you richer. After eight years of Shrub, that dog won't hunt anymore.
