A classic projective tool used to direct an individual is to frame a guiding movement into the form of a question such as

“Why are the rest of us apparently considered to be a greater threat to the national security of the United States of America? How does supporting the Original Intent of our Constitution, serving in our military, teaching others about our nation’s history, volunteering to help the disabled and those in poverty, and belonging to a Tea Party make one a terrorist suspect?”

The suggestion is framed in a manner that seems open-ended but is actually very directive toward a specific position. The comment offers a foundation that anyone who disagrees with the assumptions presented as being counter to the “Original Intent of our Constitution” and that such citizens do not want to “help the disabled and those in poverty” (and likely beat puppies and hate their mothers).

Then the effort is made to “connect the dots” so that responsibility can be attached to a particular entitle or person…in this case the endless attempt to pin the problem on our President. This simplistic review is comforting to those who need to find blame without the complexity of understanding.
