Where I live, you can be "banished" from the county and surrounding counties. Maybe that would work with this dude.

I never heard of that. It looks, though, like he may be able to be treated:

It's too bad he's got some kind of mental problem, because if someone really loves the subway, they can just apply for the job and then get paid for doing what they love.

Usually its people who repeat offend a whole lot. Or used the county specifically to do criminal acts. Here's a link to the county DA

a lot of the opinion at the time was that he was jsut a kid fascinated by trains. But the offenses kept coming. And as cute of positive many thought his actions were, there came a point where public safety became an issue.

Shame we ciminalize a lot of mental illness
