Economics as if People Mattered

An exceptional read originally written in 1972! E F Schumacher shows us the path to growth and prosperity over the long run. I rarely read introductions. This one penned in 2010, is by Bill McKibben and is fantastic. All with the pleasure of a real book! No battery or extension cord!

You better educated types probably ran across this gem earlier. We alumni of HKU become enlightened along the way. And most of the folks here like to learn anyways.

"The illusion of unlimited powers, nourished by astonishing scientific and technological achievements, has produced the concurrent illusion of having solved the problem of production. The latter illusion is based on the failure to distinguish between income and capital where this distinction matters most."
