This is as close to a universal truth as I have seen in politics. Whenever someone loses an election it is ALWAYS because "we didn't get our message out", with the implication being that if only the people had known and understood what we were saying, they would have voted for us!

Of course in Romney's case, the fact is that the message came through loud and clear and was soundly rejected by the public. But that truth is just too painful for republicans to acknowledge. So they leave the pizza alone and claim they just need a better box.
