TYT: Whose Fault Was the Sequester?

""Meet the Press" host David Gregory challenged House Speaker John Boehner over one of Boehner's major talking points on the sequester — that President Barack Obama does not have a plan to replace the forced spending cuts that began kicking in Friday."*

John Boehner said that President Obama and Democrats had no sequester plans since they didn't pass anything in the Senate. No one- not any obstructive Republicans- could have prevented that, right? Did Obama and Boehner fight as hard as they could have? Ben Mankiewicz and John Iadarola (Host, TYT University) discuss.

The Democrats are trying to win the PR campaign though. Getting Pentagon cuts like that would not have happened otherwise.

The BCA in 2011 was a fairly even bipartisan bill. Anyone with any common sense knew they would never reach an agreement to prevent this, I think the Democrats were also banking on getting the House back if nothing else.

to allow the sequester to occur and cover what the corporate controlled Democratic and Republican Parties wanted. They wanted to cut social security, Medicare and public programs while having the sequester cover and allow them at the same time to blame the other party.

The answer, too many dinocrats in the Democratic party. Too much corporate $$$ in the pockets of the people voted into office to represent our interests. The result, we're left with conveniently neutered Federal government that in no longer responding to the needs of the American people is responding to the desires of a very wealthy minority.
