I was 12 when it happened, and every moment is seared in my memory. Still the most shocking event of my life, even more than 9/11. It was and is unimaginable to those who do not recall it.

I remember that day clear as a bell, where I was, what I was doing, and how everyone reacted.

I was not living in USA at the time, I got the "European perspective" on the tragedy. People were distraught--that's the only way to phrase it.
