'FBI pumps resources into profiling Americans, ignores real threat'

Published on Apr 21, 2013

Investigators into the Boston Marathon bombings are trying to figure out what triggered two young suspects into carrying out the worst US terror attack since 9/11. The Tsarnaev brothers, who'd spent around half their lives living in the US, are believed to have carried out Monday's twin explosions which killed 3 and wounded more than a hundred. The suspects' family claims they had been under FBI surveillance for the past 5 years, and refuses to believe the young men carried out the atrocity. Former FBI agent Coleen Rowley joins RT studio.

1. Well, they've always been more interested in left wing leaders

than they have been in crazy, violent right wingers.

It's probably a lot easier to do surveillance on Raging Grannies and Quakers because that language thing doesn't get in the way.

and they have their own biases which is to make the US look bad 24/7/365. This is the same network that has given time to the accused bomber's mother to spread her lies about conspiracy theories.

Rowley is a former whistleblower with the FBI. She has no counter terrorism experience that I can find. Not even a creditable source. The reason things failed on 9/11 is because W. dropped the ball on following up with terrorism surveillance.

Since then we have had to monitor for both foreign and domestic terrorism. The truth is we have nuts here at home as well.

from a diversity of sources to help them gain a better understanding of the world, as well as what folks outside our borders are thinking and saying.

Also, they are much better than our worst media outlet, faux, thats for sure, and at the very least on par with our other cable offerings.

As for Agent Rowley (http://www.biography.com/people/coleen-rowley-241172), her perspective has been well ahead of the curve for over a decade now, and has thus justly earned a highly respected reputation both at home and abroad.

I view her as a true American patriot, and believe we are very fortunate to have her, among others such as Ray McGovern (http://raymcgovern.com/Ray_McGovern/Current.html) speaking up.

To the OP, thanks for sharing

9. Again she has no experience in counterterrorism

The bio you posted pretty much backed up what I found. Her background is organized crime, quite different from counter terrorism.

Don't put words in to my mouth. RT was the same network that has been airing interviews with the accused bomber's mother spouting her conspiracy theories less than a week after the bombing took place. Do you think Timothy McVeigh's family should have been allowed to go on TV and tell everyone he was a victim? I don't think that would have gone over very well.

I really do not see the distinction you are trying to make.

Dare we look behind the curtain?
