Thom Hartmann: If The Oceans Die - We Die!

Our society's addiction to fossil fuels is not only polluting our skies and wreaking havoc on our climate - it's also threatening to kill one of mankind's most precious resources.

is there any sign of it slowing? the planet will heat up killing most then in response to the heat an ice age will form killing the rest. life will restake the planet but that will be right before the sun goes super-nova. no more people , no more earth.

not enough mass. But it will burn out in about 5 billion years, which won't matter much here, since the Earth will have been dead a billion years earlier...

It's the end of the world as we know it. Isn't that just too bad!

I could have spent these last five minutes getting informed on something important, like what ever Kim KArdashian or Paris HIlton is up to.

But, no, I had to listen to Mr gloomy Gus himself.

I'm going to check the air on my tires. That will get humanity out of this mess!

Not picking on anyone in particular in Washington, but if we don't get more grown ups in government, the coming crisis (what is plural for crisis anyway?) are going to be very painful.

The rate of acceleration of our use of fossil fuels has actually slowed in recent years. So we're good right?
