Papantonio: Obama Must Understand How Dangerous Eric Holder Is

Mike Papantonio appears on The Ed Schultz Show to discuss the breaking news about Eric Holder’s Justice Department spying on Associated Press reporters, which begs the question of whether or not President Obama understands just how volatile Eric Holder is to his administration.

At some point you have to realize that the President knows what's going on in his administration because if he doesn't then you would have to agree that he's totally incompetent. I don't think he's totally incompetent. I think he knows exactly what's being done and he is ok with it. I, however, am not.

To me that was the tell from the get-go as to where his head and heart really were. Who he picked, out of all the people at his disposal, to stand at his side and to advise him and to enact and enforce and defend his policies, had nothing to do with Republican obstructionism, or dysfunctional congress, or a weak Senate or the fillibuster or any of it.

Holder......Duncan....Emmanuael....Geithner.....Larry Summers.....even Hillary Clinton....this goes on.

Can't blame anyone else for any of those picks. From the get go he wanted to go in a right leaning, corporate, status quo, power mongering direction and he knew they would all go happily with him in that direction.

of the Democrat Party, not the leader standing beside those in the Right Wing. The blur has become a bleed.

The name that you used was constructed by the Right Wing to take control even of our own name, and it sounds ignorant. They've rewritten history, and one way they do so is to claim that their version of everything is legitimate. Rush Limbaugh calls us "Democrat Underground" (sounding moronic) and refuses to call us what we call ourselves.

Why lend credibility to any of their "creative" and disingenuous labeling? It's frowned upon here. At least it used to be.

Democrat or a Democratic Party? Who is the leader of the Democratic Party? Someone that recommends Right Wing Republican Party members to presidential cabinet positions?

Who is your favorite Right Winger in the President's Cabinet? There are many to pick from.

I am a Democrat. I vote for the President, twice.

Thanks again.

I didn't mean to get sidetracked about your main point - I'm with you on it and about the RWers in his cabinet. I'm also a Dem and voted for him twice too, but I always thought Holder was a puzzling choice; it's clearly worse than that.

Seeing or hearing "Democrat Party" just sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard but that was me going off on a minor point - sorry. That made us sound like we're far apart, but we're not... at all.

Attorney General Eric Holder said on Tuesday that he had recused himself from the Justice Department's controversial decision to secretly seize telephone records of the Associated Press as part of a wide-ranging leak investigation.

Instead, the decision to seek phone records of one of the world's largest news-gathering organizations was made by Deputy Attorney General Jim Cole, Holder said.

Just like a republican. He runs the place but it's never his fault. Pass the blame onto someone else.

I was wrong.

for their daily vigilance and perseverance" is what came to my mind. Second, we could've had Dean or Kucinich who know what is right regardless of influence brokers. How can we ever know how corrupt our government is if we keep electing people who have no stable leftward track record, i.e. Obama, with Lieberman as his mentor... and to a large extent, Hillary?
