(34,172 posts)Sure, completing school is not the same thing as being educated or making a great contributions to society. There is nothing profound about that.
Schooling is the organization of efforts to help people become more educated by people who mostly love true education.
Where do you think you would be without your schools or those organized efforts to educate you and your classmates, Mr. Ngongo?

(17,301 posts)what is going on around them and learn from it. They learn where to look and how to process the information without help from others. There are those who need to be directed to where the information is, to be directed to what to look out for, to be helped in identifying the important points.
Everyone has a different style of how they learn best. This man has found a formal education system does not help him. But it does help others. It's not all one or the other. It's some of both.
One thing I have learned (not in the halls of academia) is that all things in moderation. Some people only need to be taught where the information is and they learn it all on their own. Others need more assistance than that. It all depends on what kind of person you are and how you learn best.
I admire this man because he has found his system and he communicates his ideas with flare and intelligence. But it is a method of learning that may not work for everyone.
