I don't believe his appearance suggests he is a skin-head in the classic sense. Else someone could mistake me, a flaming liberal, as a skin-head.

But that he adopts and supports extreme right-wing policies and values betray him as being small in intellect and misplaced in his values.

This white lady is going to be real honest with you.

The majority of this country does not want the Tea Party, or the Republican Party to hold any political offices in this country.

You are the most anti American and anti human bunch of politicians the world has ever seen.

The majority of you are not qualified to run a lemonade stand.

If the 1% ever turn their backs on you, or if the 99% can defeat the 1%, your days of destruction are over.

This is the 21st century.

We believe in progression, not regression.

We believe in equality.

We believe in equal pay.

We believe in equal rights.

We believe a woman has the right to make the medical decisions that affects her body.

We want ALL children in this country to have a top notch education.

We want unions, lots of unions, strong unions.

We want all U.S. citizens to have health care; including dental and vision.

We want every U.S. citizen to be fed and housed.

We want the most productive workers in the world to be paid a fair and decent wage.

We want to protect our planet.

We don't want to live in an intolerant Theocracy.

I am glad African Americans, or black people as you stated, do not vote for you.

What I would like to know is why dumb ass white people vote for you ??????

You are most welcome.

If we could rid this country of Republicans and the Tea Party we would all thrive and grow together.

They are the cause for the majority of racism and hate in this country.

I think they are shrinking in numbers and that is a positive thing.

I hope they never start spreading like a virus.

Their time has come and gone.

Now I just wish they would go.

The best way to get people motivated to do something is to tell them you don't want them to do it.

This message should be communicated to every eligible and soon-to-be eligible AA voter possible. Get that turnout up for the midterms.

yep, it would indeed be a mistake for any republican to be "real honest" about how they feel about black people, which is why they so rarely do it.

Later on Tuesday, Emanuelson backtracked on his remarks, clarifying that it "was a mistake" and nothing more than a "personal opinion."

If they were a "pure" party that wanted to support policies that were consistent with core values such as strong military at any cost, no social programs and keep blacks from voting, he would be right on track.

The reality is the GOP knows they can never win national elections if they limit their voters to old white men and women. So this statement exposes their vulnerability....

The country is turning increasingly ethnic, especially Hispanic. Not that voting trends are similar but I suggest that current voting trends for blacks and latinos is comparable.

This means that of course they don't want blacks voting if they will vote 9-1 for Democrats. But the reality in life is if you have policies that blacks will not support, such is your fate.

Wed Jun 5, 2013, 01:16 PM
Jun 2013

He talked about how you are over three times more likely to be busted for pot possession if you are black, even though a slightly higher percentage of whites use pot, and even though there are many times more white people than black people in the U.S.

He explained that the feds base money to local cops on number of arrests, so cops troll black neighborhoods and pull over cars filled with black youth, like shooting fish in a barrel. If they did this in white neighborhoods they'd get even more arrests according to the stats, but they don't because then there would be political blowback by outraged white parents whose kids' future was ruined over innocuous pot possession. There are a lot more white voters than black voters, and white voters have a lot more political muscle. The cops know that. So they confine their stop and frisk searches to minority neighborhoods.

In a nutshell, he said the war on pot is a war on black people, and the minute it affected white people to the same degree it affects black people, pot would be legalized.

And if it wasn't racist, he would have said he didn't want liberals to vote. But he singled out blacks... said nothing about the 40-something % of white Dems. Or the 50-something % of hispanic Dems.
