The only thing GOPPERS will ever get it is when you make their thuggery personal. They will deny people the right to vote and they will use intimidation, arrests and force to stop people from protesting them. And they will rig and steal the vote until you can do nothing. I believe their intentions are that serious, criminal and depraved.

The GOP is actively preparing to stop the vote of anyone who will not vote for them. They plan a coup in 2014 now that they have gutted the Voting Rights Act. If MLK were alive today those legislators would not be able to leave the capitol. The GOP has declared war on the country and working people. We need to understand that.

But any kind of violence will be a loser....MLK fully understood that, and that is why so many people got the shit beat out of them during the civil rights years....they practice total non violence and trained their activist to be totally non violent...and it worked, because people saw who the real thugs were.

They are doing it right...non violent and non cooperation with evil.

I am proud of them all.

However, I am not sure that witnessing violence moves people any more. There is so much graphic violence around you wonder if people are desensitized or not.

What needs to happen is the same kind of marches that happened during the Civil Rights Era. People will have to defy all these protest permission laws and risk arrest or confrontation.

And there may not be the courage to do what it will take...we have been scared of shit for so long...and that works to their advantage.

6. What Bothered Me In Denver Was How The Occupy Movement Was Treated

In Denver a supposedly Democratic mayor and Democratic Governor Hickenlooper supported suppression of the movement. They used GOP tactics in infiltrating and marginalizing the movement. People were getting arrested for giving them water and food. They were being ticketed for even stopping to give food or honking in support. The authorities ran off supporters who were not part of the movement. These people were eventually brutalized and the public abandoned them when they were labeled anarchists and thugs.

And in other parts of the country it was not better. When you cannot even carry signs or sing in Wisconsin without getting arrested. You cannot even open your mouth in one of the Carolinas in protest without getting arrested. The "Moral Monday" protests in North Carolina have had nearly 900 arrests. And what is worse the media hides it all.

You won't see the protest on this thread anywhere in the news. It did not happen. Something is radically wrong. People are being brutalized by these criminals even though they are not violent.

I do not believe the news covered all those marches for Trayvon last week.

There is something radically wrong.

And they control the message....and enlist the members of the Democratic party to help them....even here on DU I have heard the same slurs against OWS...dirty rapist and other things, and put them down...a cleaned up version of right wing talking points.
It is shocking to me that they can do it right in our faces.
