Thom Hartmann: Syria…Are We Cheap Mercenaries for Saudi Arabia?

Mike Papantonio, Ring of Fire Radio, joins Thom Hartmann. If you look at the polls - a majority of Americans do not support military action in Syria. Are President Obama and lawmakers in Washington unwilling to listen to the American people?

......where a Saudi official referred to Americans as his "white slaves." That still pisses me off! I always hoped that an American sergeant from Detroit would roll a grenade into a Saudi officer's tent.

So why is our "freedom" loving republican party is so against alternate energy and higher fuel standards for vehicles?
And why did McCain go to Sturgess and says that revving bikes "sound like freedom"?

I try to never miss Brunch with Bernie.
There are few sources I trust these days,
but Hartmann is one I trust.

Thom Hartmann used to read and quote from DU a few years ago,
but I don't think he does than anymore.

You will know them by their WORKS.

But I think it's a good thing to have the dialogue he has with them as there's no point ignoring some of their crazy ideas.

Yes, he used to quote from DU on his show. Can't say I blame him or any of the other prominent democrats who used to post here and bring more readers, who don't bother anymore. When we have a small group deciding what we can read and what we can't, adults are going to go elsewhere.

Also listen to both radio shows, Mr. Papantonio is very intuitively learned in the money ties. He and Mr. Hartmann have a deep accumulated understanding of Syria things including that so called notion as Americans are cheap mercenaries for the Arabs. Both seem to have a very fluid insight to John Kerry’s persona.

Mr. Papantonio just fell short of defining the issue as money and oil. It’s very logical for President Obama to be extorted into this Syria conflict because the economies in the banking oil areas are fragile.

President Obama is surrounded by a very severely conservative Republican Party that want to see Obama fail at home. Obama perhaps likely to risk a sort of the same war deal as Iraq to fend off the looming depression. The Soviets on the other side very willing to side with the Republican Party along with the Arabs long time business partners of the Bush Cheney Carlyle group. God only knows the free speech money is flying around the Cayman Islands like a class five hurricane. LOL.

improve our position around the world which eventually might lead to a better country for all of its people, right now all those machinations you just posted regarding why our leaders do what they do, benefit ONLY a very tiny % of the American people.

We are not leading, we are following as a nation, always focused on what is good for Wall St.

We produce enough oil here eg, that we don't have to be so dependent on other countries IF we don't want to be.

But those Global Oil Cartels are pretty powerful.
