if we're talking since 11-08, then no, no I can't remember a time.

(32,723 posts)There was an overall effort to increase inflation and a LOT of people feel the rescue mission to free the hostages was sabotaged.
So much so that Obama kept Republicans in the dark about the bin Laden Raid. You just KNOW they would have tried to prevent that from happening to deny a victory of that magnitude for this President.
Republicans are the "domestic threat" the Constitution warns about.
There are a few that deserve to be charged with treason.

(813 posts)I was a kid during the Carter years (he was the first President I really remember clearly; just vestigial memories of Jerry Ford and distant memories of Nixon resigning and my grade-school teacher having to explain why/how the President broke the law to a bewildered class) so I don't remember much of the political skullduggery. I just thought Carter was a decent man and couldn't see why so many people talked crap about him.
I remember the failed rescue mission...I remember being disappointed as hell because I thought, "there's no way the hostages will get out alive now."
I strongly agree that many of the Tea Potty types' conduct border on treasonous. In retrospect, I can see why the President kept mum about getting OBL until it was a done deal.
What is ironic, terribly so, is that the TP call THEMSELVES the "true patriots" and those who disagree with them "treasonous!"

(813 posts)I call Bullshit on that.
I was not born and have never lived in the South, unless you count being at Air Force Basic Training in San Antonio, Texas.
However, my maternal grandparents were from Kentucky and Tennessee, and I never heard of them having anything to do with that flag or any kind of Confederate sympathies. My mother told me that my grandfather told a KKK "recruiter" to "go to hell." Given that my grandfather was a 6'2" Scots-Irishman with a fiery temper, the Klan puke did the decent thing for his health and bugged off.
Of course, my grandfather was a staunch FDR New Dealer.
I liken it to trying to convince a Jewish person that the swastika represents "pride," not genocide.

(750 posts)From my view the Republican/ Democratic Party has been influenced by world money for a long time. But that special part of world money influence is from a very rich crowd in Europe that are likely still upset about the lost war and independence of the original American colonies. Sound crazy, of course these are minds of the same pattern in our modern time right now that want for failure. The slaves of labor are now as slaves in economy, In a secret trillion dollar derivative market being play with the jewel of the Mersenne prime number.
Yes, from time ago I think some rich families grind an axe in perpetual hate for the American or simply life itself. The primary reason for the constant stretch in poverty to wealth ratio is plain old hate. Unfortunately to the people that are generations away yet as a whole revere a severe vendetta in backdoor family fraternities and sororities, brother and sister ant or uncles grandma to grandpa not just undergraduate secrets that hone a Masters degree for the time to perform common business exploitation by the American perfect one percent corruption existing wildly in political flesh to flourish today.
Clinton knows this existence so does the poverty line of people that participate in voting realize the simple imbalance of hate. Once watching Bill Maher comedian making explanations about how much hate is in the Internet chat rooms was an extraordinary condition. This guy Bill Maher who is the Jabberwocky master to deliver slithy toves in uncut language where he tries in futile effort to measure what fuck is then take his personal jar and spread it on everyone. Mr. Maher does prove a point about the hate because it is spread all over.
