ACLU and lawyers for working to insure that "our" national security apparatus works for the people not against them.

Shame on you Mr. President. I thought you would "put your walking shoes on" and join us in our struggle to be free.

President Obama please stop listening to the elite insiders who only want protection from the harm they have caused to America.

Please shed these elitists, "even the ones who brought you to the dance."

Be for the average person and not a President whose decisions help another administration (or yours) persecute citizens against the will of the Constitution.
There may come a day (and there will unless Americans are free and not considered disposable) when average Americans must commit acts of civil disobedience to obtain Constitutional guarantees and/or redress for the world destroying corporations. Do not be the President that makes protesting illegal. You used to be an organizer.....do not be blinded by the wealth you have encountered as the
President of a "free". democratic society which is also the worlds superpower. The world looks and works different in sunshine.

I see the Question being: How can we return our Nation to the true principles of liberty and justice? I know that money HAS to be taken out of the election scheme, including the Citizens United v FEC decision, and of course making elections fair and paper based with cross-peer witnessing of the count. These are the beginnings of restoring our democracy in this representational republic. Any other ideas?

The details are complex and we need intellectuals like Chris Hedges to press the issues that many people are unable to understand until they are personally affected. We need people like him to work for all of us.

When you dare "peer into the mechanisms of power" and there is this kind of suppression of due process in challenging this NDAA by our current administration AS SO STRONGLY SHOWN, then WHAT in the world is the reason?

Tell me THAT, PTB...
