She's a leader in one of the movements trying to get a raise in the minimum wage, and she caused quite the disruption at this meeting where the president of McDonald's was speaking. And yes, she went to jail for asking a simple question.

I have started giving a little tip to the workers at those fast-food windows, maybe 50 cents. Once I gave a dollar, that hardworking young man just looked so skinny that my heart went out to him. He tried not to take it, but I pushed it at him and then he did. I went hungry when I was a kid. I have heard that there is some kind of movement to get lots of people to do this. I hope so. And maybe something more?

welfare. Not only that, taxpayers are paying for the police to arrest her, and the DA to process her.
